Joining Grimhollow

Connecting

Section titled “Connecting”

  1. Launch Minecraft: Java Edition on the latest version.

  2. Go to Multiplayer → Add Server and enter the address:

    play.grimhollowmc.com

  3. Set Server Resource Packs to Enabled. Grimhollow uses a custom resource pack for its weapons, armour, monsters, menus and icons. Without it, most of the server won’t look right.

  4. Join. The pack downloads on your first visit, which takes a moment.

Your first join

  • You arrive at Spawn, a safe hub world where nothing can hurt you.
  • You get a starter kit and 100 coins. See Your First Hour for what’s in the kit and what to do first.
  • Everyone on the server sees a welcome message for you.

Getting into the wilds

Section titled “Getting into the wilds”

The survival world is reached through the portal pad at spawn. Stand on the glowing pad and, after a short countdown, you’re sent to a random spot in the wilds. Each trip lands you somewhere new.

To get back to spawn later, use /spawn (5-second countdown, don’t move).
