Land Claims

A Claim Stone protects an area of the survival world from other players. Only you and the players you trust can build, break or open things inside it.

  1. Hold a Claim Stone and right-click the top of a block in the survival world. It needs 2 free blocks above it.
  2. A floating runestone appears, protecting a 16×16 area centred on it, from bedrock to the sky.
  3. The border shows for 15 seconds so you can see what you’ve claimed.

Your first Claim Stone comes in the starter kit. More are sold in the Shard Shop (1,200 shards) and by Runekeeper Edda at spawn.

Right-click your Claim Stone to open its menu:

Button What it does
Info Size, max size, trusted players, upkeep status
Expand +8 to the width (4 blocks on each edge) for 2 coins per new block. 16→24 costs 640, 24→32 costs 896…

Remove Claim Click twice to remove. You get the Claim Stone back, and any prepaid upkeep is saved for your next stone

Claims cost Warding Runes every week, based on their size:

1 Warding Rune per week for every 1,024 blocks of area (rounded up)

Claim size Runes per week
16×16 or 32×32 1
48×48 3
64×64 4
96×96 9
256×256 64

You can prepay up to 8 weeks. If upkeep runs out:

  1. 7-day grace period. Still protected, with reminders.
  2. Unprotected. Anyone can build or break there. The claim is never deleted; paying again restores protection.

You get reminders when you join and every 30 minutes while upkeep is due soon, in grace, or unpaid.

If you drop below a limit, your existing claims are kept. They just can’t grow, and you can’t place new ones.

Your first claim is your Stronghold. It’s the only claim that grows with prestige: +16 blocks per side for each prestige level, from 112×112 at Prestige I to 256×256 at Prestige X. You can move the Stronghold title to another claim from the menu.

  • Your own claims must be at least 200 blocks apart.
  • Another player’s Claim Stone must be at least 266 blocks away from yours (on X or Z), so every claim has room to grow to full size.
  • Claims can’t overlap and must stay inside the world border.

From everyone except you and trusted players:

  • Breaking and placing blocks, buckets, signs
  • Chests, barrels, furnaces, doors, gates, trapdoors, buttons, levers, beds, anvils and other usable blocks
  • Pressure plates, tripwires and crop trampling
  • Animals, villagers, armour stands, item frames, paintings and vehicles. Trading with villagers is still allowed
  • Explosions (even your own TNT), fire spread, lava, and mobs changing blocks (endermen, withers, ravagers…)
  • Pistons, flowing liquids, dispensers and growing trees from outside the claim

Visitors can still use: crafting tables, enchanting tables, ender chests, stonecutters, cartography tables, looms, grindstones and smithing tables.
